ABOUT
The Dap Squad is the Band you’ve been looking for.
Funk/Jazz/Top 40/Disco/Motown/Rock…
We do it all!
Made of the top ‘Ringer’ and studio musicians in the Midwest, these exciting artists were each hand selected for extraordinary talent, musicianship, experience and professionalism. This band was assembled on a whim several years back to substitute for a well established midwest artist. The response by the crowd and the club was so exuberantly positive that the club owner asked to feature this band at his club regularly after this one concert. It seemed that fate was giving them a message and the rest is history.
Each artist has mastered several styles so they can play as much of the event as you’d like: The ceremony, pre-reception cocktail music and don’t forget the after-dinner dance party. Although you’ll see a lot of standard Jazz titles, the Dap Squad can play everything from Billy Joel, Daft Punk, Ferrell, Kool and never missing favorites like ‘Don’t stop believing’ – Journey and Long Train Running – Doobie Brothers.
The Dap Squad can shrink to a 2 piece group for limited size events or budgets and expand all the way up to a 15 piece band with the full production crew (14 piece band and full stage and lighting rig).
Of course every event is different and we love to help folk personalize the event to their own vision. Our standard size is 6-8 musicians.
The Dap Squad has thousands of hours of performances and experiences that allow us to simply do it better.
Many of our featured artists double on several instruments. This is the Best band in the Midwest and they have the sound to back them up!
